Founded in 1939, William Jessup University is a WASC accredited, private university in the greater Sacramento area. Its 126-acre campus in Rocklin, Ca. is located just 20 miles northeast of Sacramento. Mission Statement: In partnership with the Church, the purpose of William Jessup University is to educate transformational leaders for the glory of God. Vision Statement: The William Jessup University vision is that our graduates will be transformed and will help redeem world culture by providing notable servant leadership; by enriching family, church and community life; and by serving with distinction in their chosen career. Our award winning campus and dining facility offer an exceptional living experience. Jessup offers Associate of Arts, Bachelor of Arts, Bachelor of Science and a Masters degree programs. Majors include a BS in Biology, Business, Kinesiology, Computer Science and Environmental Science, and a BA in Psychology, English, Environmental Science, Creative Arts, History, Mathematics, Music, Liberal Studies (Teacher Education), Public Policy, Biblical Studies, Theology, Christian Leadership, and Youth Ministry. Traditional Undergraduate students may opt to work towards their California Multiple Subject Teaching Credential within the Liberal Studies major, as well as a California Single Subject Credential in English or Math, or a Master of Arts in Teaching (MAT). Graduate programming is also available in Education, Business Administration, and Leadership with a concentration in Christian Ministry. Air Force ROTC (AFROTC) is also available. Jessup offers numerous opportunities for social interaction, off-campus ministry, and intercultural celebrations. Christian Service is an invaluable program of hands-on helping that puts you in better touch with the needs of people in the community and aids you in developing spiritual maturity. With a variety of speakers and special events, Chapel is a dynamic and inspiring experience for students, faculty and staff. Student Leadership provides students a variety of opportunities that span Student Government, Peer Advising, Campus Ministries and Resident Assistants. Student Activities, Clubs and Organizations vary from recreational to cultural to educational involvement including, musical ensembles, music recitals, intercultural awareness activities. Jessup is a member of the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA). We offer athletic scholarships in the following sports: Mens & Womens Basketball, Cross Country, Soccer, and Track. Men also have Baseball and Golf, while women have Indoor Track, Softball and Volleyball.
