Walla Walla University

Founded in 1892, Walla Walla University is a private university affiliated with the Seventh-day Adventist Church. With more than 1,900 students of diverse backgrounds in attendance, WWU is fully accredited and offers more than 100 areas of study in liberal arts, professional, and technical programs. Shaped by its core Christian values, WWU offers a tradition of exceptional education.The largest undergraduate programs are business, education, and engineering. Graduate programs in education, biology, media ministry, and social work are also offered. Located on a 55-acre campus in College Place, Wash., WWU also operates a School of Nursing in Portland, Ore., and a marine laboratory on the Puget Sound near Anacortes, Wash. A graduate social work program is offered in Missoula and Billings, Mont. Walla Walla University presents to students the unique opportunity to serve as a student missionary overseas or within North America. More than 80 percent of WWU students live in campus housing, establishing a full schedule of extra-curricular activities.
