St. Mary's University of San Antonio

St. Marys University is a gateway for students to professional lives as ethical leaders. A Catholic and Marianist coeducational institution, it integrates the liberal arts with professional education. The result is a rigorous and balanced curriculum that prepares graduates for exceptional leadership. The Marianists (Society of Mary) who founded the University in 1852 continue to infuse the student experience with their welcoming Catholic spirit and a focus on educating exceptional leaders who serve the greater good. Students study within humanities, sciences and business schools, with many options to pursue graduate studies and joint degrees. St. Marys is also home to San Antonios only law school, which has educated ethical, prudent and successful attorneys since 1927. The School of Humanities and Social Sciences vibrant curriculum is rooted in the Catholic intellectual tradition and pushes students to reflect on themselves, their communities and the world. With more than 20 disciplines to choose from, the school leads students in research projects, fine arts performances, and civic engagement experiences. Students have interned with the White House, the Dallas Cowboys, community theatres, as well as broadcasting companies. Popular majors include English, Exercise and Sport Science, International Relations, Political Science and Psychology. The School of Science, Engineering and Technology (SET) offers degrees in industry-responsive fields including Forensic Science and Environmental Science as well as several Engineering options. Greehey MBA students learn in the context of ethical leadership, corporate social responsibility, sustainability and social entrepreneurship. Nearly 70 percent of St. Marys students participate in civic engagement and community service activities. This distinction has led to St. Marys being named to The Presidents Higher Education Community Service Honor Roll every year since its inception. Rattler Athletics is known for winning traditions, marked by six national titles in basketball, baseball, softball and golf. St. Marys is a member of NCAA Division II and the Heartland Conference. The beautiful 135-acre campus includes 12 residence halls that include living communities where students live and learn alongside peers with shared interests.
