St. Anthony College of Nursing

At Saint Anthony College of Nursing (SACN), you can discover just how big of a difference you can make in the world. Find out how far your compassion can take you in an environment that encourages open inquiry, lifelong learning, and serving all persons with the greatest care and love. Our graduates pass the nursing licensure exam (NCLEX-RN) at a rate higher than the national and state averages. We rank among the top 10 BSN programs in Illinois for pass rates. In addition, we have a reputation for preparing highly skilled professionals, so our job placement rate for students is consistently about 98-100 percent. Our graduates are highly sought after by health care institutions throughout the region. We ensure our students are well prepared to start a career of their choosing upon graduation by working with more than 150 clinical sites throughout the region. Students are provided with patient care experiences in a variety of settings. The college offers both undergraduate and graduate programs. For undergraduate students, we are an upper division institution. Students transfer in their junior year after completing 64 credits in specific pre-nursing and general education courses at another college or university. Transfer guides are available on our website. The only "first-time" students we enroll are those who complete all of their college pre-requisites while still enrolled in high school. Graduate students can choose from programs that prepare advanced practice nurses as well as nurse educators, clinical nurse leaders, and administrative nurse leaders.
