The experience allows each student to take responsibility for all aspects of a show, including curating his/her work, hanging the show, organizing the artists reception and formally presenting to visitors from the college and the community on opening night.Students are encouraged to participate in a number of student activities on campus and in the surrounding Sierra Nevada. The College has an unparalleled Outdoor Adventure Program, which allows each student access to numerous outdoor activities, ranging from surf trips to Mexico, backpacking in Yosemite, kayaking on the American River, and going on bike tours of San Francisco.
