Siena is a private, Franciscan and Catholic college located in the heart of New Yorks Capital Region and Tech Valley. Students enjoy life on a park-like suburban campus yet they are minutes away from high-tech companies, city hotspots, entertainment options and historic sites. The College boasts a four-year graduation rate of 74%, which is well above the national average. There are no teaching assistants at Siena which means all classes are taught by faculty members. Siena students are able to customize their curriculum to match their career interests through internships, study abroad and travel courses, undergraduate research with faculty and more than 1,200 program combinations. Popular programs include the liberal arts, accounting, marketing, biology, pre-law and the Siena College/Albany Medical College joint acceptance program. Siena College continues to stay abreast of the changing employment landscape by adding new programs, such as minors and/or Certificates in Community Development, Community Consulting, Human Resources Development and Forensic Science. New majors include Health Studies and Nursing. The College also offers a Masters in Accounting program to meet New York State requirements to sit for the CPA exam. Siena is also the only college in New York State to offer the Bonner Service Leaders scholarship program.
