Founded in 1960, Point Park University is a dynamic, urban university with a strong liberal arts tradition. Located in Downtown Pittsburgh, Point Park enrolls more than 4,200 full- and part-time students in more than 100 undergraduate, master's and doctoral programs offered through its School of Arts and Sciences, Rowland School of Business, School of Communication and Conservatory of Performing Arts. This initiative is transforming the campus into a multiblock, living and learning hub and redefining the student experience. The most recent addition to campus is the Center for Media Innovation. The new Pittsburgh Playhouse is currently being constructed and should be ready by 2018. With the city of Pittsburgh as Point Park's campus, students have advantages both on and off campus to fill their free time. There are 15 varsity Pioneer sports teams and more than 40 student clubs and organizations to choose from, plus countless sports, cultural and entertainment activities as well as eateries within a few blocks of campus.
