Northland College

Northland College is a private, liberal arts undergraduate college. In 1971 Northland made a bold decision to focus the curriculum around the environment and sustainability, and today remains a national leader.Founded in 1892, Northland College is located in Ashland, Wisconsin, on the south shore of Lake Superior. Adjacent to the Apostle Islands National Lakeshore and nearly a million acres of Chequamegon-Nicolet National Forest, Northland has an unparalleled living laboratory and natural playground just beyond its doors. Our innovative curriculum and distinguished faculty draw students from across the country who come to be a part of a powerful educational community. Northland College athletics participates in NCAA Division III Upper Midwest Athletic Conference. Teams include men's and women's basketball, lacrosse, cross country, golf, hockey, and soccer; men's baseball; and women's softball and volleyball.
