Maria College of Albany

Maria College is a private, Catholic, non profit, independent and coeducational institution founded in 1958 by the Sisters of Mercy and is one of 17 colleges and universities in the United States sponsored by the Conference for Mercy Higher Education. With an unwavering commitment to the humanities, the College seeks to instill in its graduates respect for the dignity of each person and the ability to transform learned skills into caring service. Bachelor of Science degrees include Nursing, Health and Occupational Sciences, Healthcare Management and Psychology with Associate Degrees in Accounting, General Studies, Liberal Arts, Management, and Paralegal. Certificate Programs are offered in Bereavement, Gerontology, Paralegal, and Nursing (LPN). The intent of the College is to deliver these programs with high academic standards, in convenient scheduling formats for students of any age who will benefit from small classes and a warm, encouraging environment.
