LeTourneau University

LeTourneau University is the premier Christian polytechnic university in the nation where educators engage students to nurture Christian virtue, develop competency and ingenuity in their professional fields, integrate faith and work, and serve the local and global community. LETU offers undergraduate and graduate degree programs across a range of disciplines and delivery models at LETU's residential campus in Longview, Texas, and in hybrid and fully online options at centers in the Dallas and Houston areas. LETUs nearly 2,800 students represent nearly all 50 states, more than 30 foreign countries, and nearly 50 different denominational groups. About 1,300 students study at the main campus in Longview, Texas--located in the pine-forested hills and lakes of East Texas, 120 miles east of Dallas, Texas, and 60 miles west of Shreveport, LA. Students are also enrolled in a robust suite of online programs. LETU offers more than 90 programs that prepare students for success in aviation, biblical studies, business, communication, criminal justice, education, engineering, nursing, human services, kinesiology, liberal arts, psychology, and science. Graduate programs available in business administration, counseling, education, engineering, health care administration, marriage and family therapy, psychology and strategic leadership. Claiming every workplace in every nation as their mission field, LeTourneau University graduates are professionals of ingenuity and Christ-like character who see life's work as a holy calling with eternal impact. LeTourneau University is a community of builders. In every lab, airplane and classroom, LETU builds on the legacy of our university founder, the legendary entrepreneur and inventor R.G. LeTourneau, by preparing students for a lifetime spent fusing their faith with their work and ingeniously approaching their careers to make a practical impact with innovative solutions to global challenges. LETU students benefit from small classes and outstanding faculty dedicated to providing personal attention and hands-on, collaborative learning opportunities to apply knowledge in practical and powerful ways. All freshman engineering students build their own 3D printers. Engineering students are building human-powered water pumps for farmers in Senegal and designing livable shelters for homeless refugees in Syria. Biology students are researching new viruses to combat disease and others are researching ways to improve wheelchair functionality in rough-terrain environments. Teacher Education students are five-time winners of the Texas Student Teacher of the Year award. Our aviation program is the only comprehensive collegiate aviation program in the state of Texas, and is a past recipient of the Loening Trophy, which recognizes the most outstanding collegiate aviation program in the nation. LETU's innovative aviation programs have expanded to include a new program in Remotely Piloted Aircraft (also called drones), as well as classes at the McKinney National Airport. LETU is where excellent career preparation and Christian convictions collide. Students graduate with hands-on skills that employers demand. Graduate placement rates prove it. LETU graduates carry their incredible ingenuity and faith into countless nations and workplaces--including American Airlines, Boeing, Apple, Garmin, Google, John Deere, US Steel, among others--and into countless classrooms, mission fields, and beyond.
