Kendall College, founded in 1934, offers students undergraduate degrees in baking and pastry, culinary arts, hospitality management, business and early childhood education. Located in the heart of Chicago, which is home to more than 5,195 restaurants, 119 hotels, and one of the world's largest convention centers, Kendall introduces students to a global hub of business and culture. Kendall students have access to countless opportunities to build skills and experience through our network of industry and employer partners, study abroad programs, student clubs, on campus employmentand student services. Kendall is ranked the number one program in Chicago for preparing students for careers in culinary arts and hospitality management by Chicago Michelin Guide restaurants and Chicago's leading hotels (TNS Global Survey - 2013). The curriculum at Kendall provides strong academic education combined with transformative practical experience to effectively prepare students to become leaders in their professions. Kendall College is accredited by The Higher Learning Commission. The School of Culinary Arts has been distinguished as an Exemplary Program by the American Culinary Federation Education Foundation Accrediting Commission (ACFEFAC). The Early Childhood Education program in the School of Education is approved by the Illinois State Board of Education for Illinois Teacher Licensure preparation (birth through Grade 3). As part of the Laureate International Universities global network of more than 70 campus-based and online universities, Kendall College provides students with a range of U.S. and international opportunities for expanded education and professional experiences. Kendall serves more than 1,200 students each year, representing nearly 40 countries around the world.
