The University of Hawaii at Hilo is a comprehensive, primarily baccalaureate granting institution offering a rigorous education in a caring and personalized atmosphere. The University is located on the east side of Hawaii island, about 200 miles from Honolulu, in the city of Hilo. Hilo offers a moderate cost of living, beautiful environment, and a highly diverse low density population of about 45,000.
